J20550 The Automated Coin Packaging System "The Automated Coin Packaging System processes coins into sealed tubes at an production rate of 210 parts a minute, using Rockwell's Magnemotion conveyance system for improved efficiency and rework integration. Coin trays, loaded from an operator-docked magazine cart, are handled by an ABB IRB1300 robot (Robot 1), which places them into a justifying fixture. An ABB IRB1200 robot (Robot 2) transfers rows of coins from the tray to six guided conveyor lanes. Another ABB IRB1200 robot (Robot 3) uses a pitch-changing EOAT to place coins from the conveyors into empty tubes within Magnemotion shuttle fixtures. Tubes are indexed to a servo Pick and Place capping station, where caps are applied from an operator-filled bulk feeder, then weighed and labeled with tamper-evident labels by a Herma labeler, followed by Cognex vision inspection. Non-compliant tubes are flagged and handled by an ABB IRB1200 robot (Robot 4), which places them on a reject conveyor or reintroduces corrected tubes to the weigh station. Robot 4 also assembles/disassembles shipper containers using an auto-tool change EOAT and places completed tubes into shippers. An ABB IRB1300 robot (Robot 5) loads empty tubes from an operator-loaded case into Magnemotion shuttles using a pitch-changing EOAT. Completed shippers undergo vision inspection, barcode labeling, strapping, and optional palletizing. The system uses Ignition reporting software, replacing Indusoft, for enhanced user-friendly reporting."
